MAJOR GIFTS & STEWARDSHIP OFFICER

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the close supervision of the Executive Director, and with the active support of members of the Board of Directors, the Major Gifts & Stewardship Officer has primary responsibility for planning and executing the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts prospects and donors capable of making gifts of $10,000 or more. Once a gift is made, the Major Gifts Officer is responsible for assuring proper recognition and stewardship of the gift and further developing a relationship with the donor(s). The Major Gifts Officer will personally manage a portfolio of at least 50 major-gift prospects.

This position proactively researches, plans, schedules, and implements the Library’s cultural programs and special events. The Programs Manager works closely with the Library staff, presenters, community partners, and media to ensure the library communicates and follows its mission—bringing information, ideas, and individuals together to enhance the culture life of the community—through consistently high-quality programs.
