Well known author Judith Freeman, recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in fiction, will talk about the book on which she is currently working, based on the famed detective novelist Raymond Chandler's marriage and life.

The Community Library Association is proud to present the 26th Tour of Homes, a showcase of architecturally distinctive and uniquely landscaped homes in the Sun Valley area.
The owners of these showcased homes have generously opened their homes for the day to help The Community Library, a nonprofit organization, provide free library services to the public. The Library receives no tax money and is funded by events such as the Tour of Homes, proceeds from the Gold Mine Thrift Shop, and donations both large and small.
Your ticket to the Tour of Homes provides an opportunity to tour some of the most beautiful private homes in the area while supporting free public library services. Please join in supporting this wonderful resource!

The Social Contract by Jean-Jacques Rousseau is August's book club selection. The Great Books Book Club focuses on the great books that shaped western civilization and meets monthly.
All are invited to join in the discussions, which are led by Lee Brown, a Fulbright Scholar with Ph.D.'s in political philosophy and geohydrology, and who was a professor at San Diego State University and Grossmont College for 30 years.
