Jazz on Fretless Guitar:
Ned Evett and Franck Vigroux
Wednesday, April 3, 7:00 pm
Two of the world's foremost fretless guitarists will converge onstage for this concert of guitar and voice described as "3-dimensional modern jazz."
Glass guitar inventor Ned Evett and French recording artist Franck Vigroux are masters of the fretless guitar, which allows the musician's fingers to engage the strings directly against the fingerboard evoking a unique sound.
The concert is free and is sponsored by the Idaho Commission for the Arts.

The History
of the Peloponnesian War by Thucydides

This month's book club continues last month's discussion of Thucydides' history of the war between Athens and Sparta.
Gary Hunt of Iconoclast Bookstore will again lead the discussion of The Peloponnesian War which is open to all.

Earth Day Lecture

Idaho's Wilderness
Craig Gehrke
Monday, April 22, 6:00 pm
Craig Gehrke, Idaho Director of the Northern Rockies Regional Office of The Wilderness Society, will present this year's Earth Day Lecture at the Library.
Among other topics, Gehrke will discuss the debates over off-road vehicles (including snowmobiles), wilderness designation for the Pioneer and White Cloud mountain ranges, and the facts and fiction on protecting our wild forests from fire, timber sales, and other threats.
