David Hays
Thursday, May 10, 7:00 pm

David Hays founded the National Theatre of the Deaf and is known throughout the theater world for his award winning set designs. A world class sailor, Hays became a best selling author with the account of the journey he undertook with his son of sailing around Cape Horn in a small boat.

Hays recently embarked on a more personal journey, seeking his bar mitzvah at age 67. Today I Am A Boy, a memoir, details how Hays, among his life's other tribulations, dealt with studying the Jewish faith along with classmates only 12 years old.

Lynna and Leland Howard
Thursday, May 31, 7:00 pm

Idahoans Lynna and Leland Howard present a slide-lecture about their adventures and newest book, Along Montana & Idaho's Continental Divide Trail.

The Lelands have spent much of their lives outdoors and recently hiked the nearly 1000 mile long section of the Continental Divide Trail through Idaho and Montana.

Leland's spectacular photography, which has appeared in National Geographic, Photographic Magazine, and others, complements his sister Lynna's poetic writing in their new book which documents the beauty and wonder of the wild lands along the Continental Divide.
