Tour of Homes 2001
The Community Library Association

Complimentary Tea: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Library
The Community Library Association is proud to present the 23rd Tour of Homes, a showcase of architecturally distinctive and uniquely landscaped homes in the Sun Valley area.
The owners of these showcased homes have generously opened their homes for the day to help The Community Library, a nonprofit organization, provide free library services to the public. The Library receives no tax money and is funded by events such as the Tour of Homes, proceeds from the Gold Mine Thrift Shop, and donations both large and small.
Your ticket to the Tour of Homes provides an opportunity to tour some of the most beautiful private homes in the area while supporting free public library services. Please join in supporting this wonderful resource!

Goofy Movie
Children's Story Hour

As a special treat, all kids are invited to come watch The Goofy Movie at Story Hour! Lot of fun and laughs are guaranteed as Goofy and his son travel across the USA, just like Seymour in this summer's Reading Roadtrip reading program!

Ship of Gold in the Deep Blue Sea

Author Gary Kinder tells the tale of Tommy Thompson, explorer and salvage expert, who found and recovered the S.S. Central America, a gold laden sidewheel steamer sent to the bottom of the sea by a ferocious hurricane off South Carolina in 1857.
The "Ship of Gold" produced not only millions of dollars worth of gold coins and bullion, but historical treasure and cutting edge new technologies as well.

Sheba
Nicholas Clapp

Long revered in Ethiopian history, the Queen of Sheba's mythology has recently been supported by archaeological evidence unearthed by author and archaeologist Nicholas Clapp.
Clapp's slide presentation and lecture will highlight his explorations in Ethiopia and Yemen, where he worked to uncover the story of the Queen of Sheba as detailed in his new book.
The queen, a woman who rose to power and dominion, joined kingdoms in Ethiopia and Yemen, and journeyed to Jerusalem to court and deal with King Solomon as recorded in the Bible and the Koran .
