Victor Chan will share insights and lessons learned during his four decades-long friendship with the Dalai Lama. Drawing on examples from the Dalai Lama's life and anecdotes from their time together, Chan will explain the spiritual teacher's enlightened take on a holistic education in the 21st century and how it is influencing communities around the world.
Having traveled extensively together through Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Europe, North America, and the Arctic, Chan and the Dalai Lama have co-authored two books in the last decade: Wisdom of Forgiveness: Intimate Conversations and Journeys, in 2005, and The Wisdom of Compassion: Stories of Remarkable Encounters and Timeless Insights, 2013. Chan also wrote Tibet Handbook: A Pilgrimage Guide, in 1994, a comprehensive guide to Tibet's culture, art, sacred sites, and pilgrimage routes.
