You will need Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher and a portable device that supports playback of secure protected wma files and 32kbps files.  For the most optimal listening experience, the portable device should have a storage capacity of at least 512 MB and include features for playing long files and returning to a designated place in a file such as fill-time stamping and bookmarking.
